Congratulations: Zizhe Lu, PhD
Zizhe Lu successfully defended his PhD dissertation on December 18th 2015.
His work focused on the mechanical properties of Zr-based systems in the context of nuclear fuel cladding. In particular, he characterized the properties of Zr under both tension and nanoindentation. He has also determined the mechanisms of deformation of ZrO2 under nanoindentation and performed the first nanoindentation study of an oxide layer on a metal.
